
Sarah Barfoot is a multi-disciplinary artist who explores the link between Mental Health and the Performing Arts. She often uses the themes of female identity and invisibility in her work.
She is an Actor, Psychotherapeutic Humanistic Counsellour (BACP), STAT-certified Alexander Technique Teacher and Somatic Experiencing trainee (SOS Internationale). She believes in the transformative, therapeutic power of the theatrical experience and that we need to be taking a more creative approach to Mental Health.

She has a BA (Hons) in Fashion from Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London) and an MA in Collaborative Theatre from Rose Bruford College, under mentor Niamh Dowling.

She is an Artistic Director of the award-winning theatre company Tanglehead. Her first solo project Out of The Frying Pan debuted in the Brighton Fringe 2022 and is currently being developed for future performances.
Recent work included the curation of​ WOMXN TALKING and MEN TALKING with Triada Theatre. These shows premiered in Brighton and later transferred to the Drayton Arms Theatre in Kensington, London
Her ​collaborative work strongly focuses on working with Marginalised Communities, the Psychological Experience and themes of Mental Health.
